Ronald Koeman identifies Man Utd target his first Barcelona signing

Former Barcelona Ronald Koeman has reportedly identified Manchester United target Donny van de Beek his first signing from the Blaugrana at Camp Nou, according to Le 10 Sport.

Van de Beek had attracted interest from Manchester United in the past.

Koeman expected to be Barcelona’s new manager in the next 24 hours, and he already planning to tell the club’s hierarchy to make Ajax’s midfielder a priority signing this summer.

POST recalls that Barcelona’s board held an emergency meeting on Monday following the humiliating 8-2 Champions League quarter-final loss to Bayern Munich and made the to sack Quique Setien, who took over from Ernesto Valverde in January.

Barcelona have to pay compensation to the Dutch national federation before they confirm Koeman’s appointment, but the 57-year-old already preparing for his reconstruction.

Van de Beek scored ten goals in 37 appearances last season for Ajax.

He has become a regular national team improving from Koeman and available for around € 35million.
