National Explosive Ordnance Disposal Day 2021 Fallen Heroes:

EOD Day 2021 told by a CHIVER:
Today is National Explosive Ordnance Disposal Day. Our annual memorial service is held on the first Saturday in May.

The names of recently deceased or identified persons are added to the cenotaph of their respective service. Each name is covered with a strip of electrical tape. Electronic tape is widely used by technicians and is an essential part of our toolbox.

During the memorial service, the tape is removed from the name of each newly added person as it is read. In addition, the names of each of our dead are read. Each department will have someone in their branch read the names.
