The Chairman of the National Campaign Council for the Governor of Edo State, Governor Nyesom Wike, has said that he disagrees with Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu about his comments about Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, who does not He is a Democrat.
Wike said that despite his respect for the leader of the Congress of All Progressives, APC, Tinubu cannot determine whether Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki is a Democrat or not.
The Rivers State Governor said this in his last media interview before the Edo State gubernatorial election on Saturday.
He said that only the people of Edo can determine and decide whether they want Governor Obaseki or not.
Wike maintained that without interference from the federal government and its agencies, Governor Obaseki will win Saturday’s election squarely.
“I will say it anywhere, Bola Tinubu is one of the politicians I respect a lot.
“Following what happens in Lagos, that one person determines everything, can be allowed to happen in Edo. You cannot allow that.
“And with all due respect if Bola Tinubu says Obaseki is not a Democrat, that is his own opinion. Many of us know that Obaseki is a Democrat and the people of Edo must determine whether Obaseki is a Democrat or not.
