The president’s top confidant, 79, was reportedly taken to the UK in a private jet on Wednesday.
He has reportedly been experiencing breathing difficulties with symptoms related to COVID-19 since last Friday.
Elder Mamman Daura is a member of the “Cabal”, influencing decisions at the seat of power.
The former journalist is said to have had a history of kidney disease and has traveled regularly to the UK for medical checks.
