I showed a client an initial design package for their business based on what they said they wanted. I was really happy with the package I put together thinking it was quite an innovative and engaging version of what they said they wanted. I showed them my font choices for them, the palette I had designed.
Customer: It’s a great job, but I’m not sure that’s what I want.
Me: It’s just! We can refine. This is my first pass based on what you said you wanted, however.
Customer: I know that I mentionned I wanted this, but that’s not what I in fact research. I was hoping you could see beyond my words.
I would say “there are no words” but I guess I should see beyond them.
