APC lawmaker welcomes reconciliation between Abia Speaker and Senator Kalu

Benjamin Kalu, member representing the federal constituency of Bende and spokesperson the House of Representatives, praised the sense of maturity shown by the speaker of the House of Assembly of the State of Abia, the Hon. Chinedum Orji, on recent reconciliation with opposition leaders All Progressives , APC, and the current Chief Senate Majority Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.

APC’s federal lawmaker, spoke to reporters after visiting Abia House of Assembly Speaker Chinedum Orji in Umuahia, also praised the state assembly leadership d’Abia efforts to advance democracy in the state.

Ben Kalu, however, encouraged members of the State Assembly not to be discouraged and to their quest to bring the dividends of democracy to the people.

Recall that President Abia, and son of the former governor of the state, Chinedum Orji, led a delegation composed mainly of parents Umuahia to visit Senator Kalu at residence in Abuja shortly after the latter’s release. suspected fraud.

The President, is a leader of the ruling People’s Democratic , PDP in Abia, urged Opposition Leader Senator Kalu to return and take rightful place in state governance.

The Honorable Orji, however, sued peace and declared loyalty to the Chief Whip of the Senate Majority.

The Assembly Speaker’s action had continued to generate explosions, mostly from PDP leaders and stakeholders, asking Chinedum Orji to step down due to his open loyalty to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, as he could not to preside over the affairs of the House of Assembly while his loyalty remained with the opposition.

But, the President, in his reaction contained in a statement issued by his chief press secretary, Jude Chijioke Ndukwe, insisted that he owed no one any explanation his reconciliation with the leader of the opposition, Senator Kalu.

He described the agitators of his resignation as political “jobbers”.
