The letter reads in part:

“We are writing to recognize and appreciate the honor bestowed upon our late father, Chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola (GCON), the former Prime Minister of Western Nigeria and the 13th Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland by Your Excellency.

“There is no doubt that the man you honor was a renowned orator, teacher, journalist, legal scholar, first-rate politician, devoted Christian, quintessential nationalist, and father of a family with no low status. , which has contributed immensely to the realization of Nigeria. independence.
