Days after Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu launched the Ondo State Security Network, known as Operation Amotekun, gunmen suspected of kidnappers struck across the state.
The gunmen on Saturday night reportedly kidnapped a Surajudeen Alao, from Oba Akoko.
Another victim yet to be identified was also kidnapped alongside Alao.
The two were reportedly abducted on the Ikun-Oba Akoko road while returning from the Ikun Day festival.
It was admitted that the incident caused anxiety among residents of Oba Akoko.
The Akoko Axis in the state’s northern senatorial district has been a notorious route for bandits where they operate unhindered.
The families of the victims said they had not yet been contacted by the kidnappers.
