Real Madrid turned around in midfield, Dani Ceballos’ stay at Arsenal.
Zinedine Zidane’s side initially wanted Ceballos to extend his loan at Arsenal, but the Real Madrid hierarchy now want to keep the Spaniard for his pre-season campaign instead of loaning him to the Gunners again.
Arteta has made it clear that he wants the 24-year-old to stay at Emirates for another season after forming a strong midfielder partnership with Granit Xhaka during the Premier League restart.
Madrid bosses are confident Ceballos can become a regular on the first team under Zidane at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Meanwhile, Ceballos has since informed Real Madrid that he will not stay at the Bernabeu and accept a partial role under Zidane.
