National Interfaith Peace Religious Organizations (NIFROP) revealed on Saturday that some evil forces in the country are unhappy with President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to the faith group, which includes Christian and Islamic clerics, the president is the target of “evil forces” because of his progress in the anti-corruption campaign and the war on the insurgency.
NIFROP therefore called on Nigerians to unite in prayer behind President Muhammadu Buhari in his quest to rid the nation of criminal elements and corrupt individuals.
Religious leaders made this known during the grand finale of the 21-day interfaith and intercessory prayer program at the Fountain of Unity in Abuja.
In his remarks, Deputy National Coordinator Sheik Abdullahi Muhammad revealed that there is a gang to discredit the current administration.
“Nigeria is a great country, and it is a known fact that the forces of darkness are not satisfied with the great efforts of President Muhamadu Buhari to meet the various challenges of the country,” part of his statement read.
“These individuals and groups have been very fierce in their evil desire against Nigeria. This is why the Unity Church and the Unity Masjid have prayed for the past 21 days for Allah’s protection on our leaders as well as on the people.
“My brothers, we have all been loyal to the Nigerian cause. On previous occasions, we have organized ourselves in prayers for our dear President as his life was constantly threatened and under attack. Our prayers have been answered, and today our President is warm and warm and performs the duties of his office for the benefit of all Nigerians and to the chagrin of those who were after his life.
Assuring the president full support “spiritually” in the many battles facing the country, Sheikh Muhammad however accused
“We will pray that Allah exposes them, regardless of their position. They would be ashamed and Nigeria will finally be free from the forces of darkness that have joined forces against our peace and our progress, ”he added.
For his part, the national coordinator, Bishop Sunday Garuba, said Nigerians have a duty to show their gratitude for preserving the life of the president despite the avalanche of conspiracies against him and his administration.
According to Bishop Garuba, Nigerians are “proud of the modest achievements of our security agencies so far, and that is why we have not given in to continually offering prayers such as this gathering for God to continue to bring victory. to our troops in combat ”.
Amid the plots of the “agents of darkness”, Bishop Garuba called on the Nigerians to rise up and fight the battle against the adversaries.
His words: “I want to tell us today that God has revealed to us all the plots against the life of our president. On many occasions there have been grand plots to kill President Muhammadu Buhari by the forces of darkness who are not satisfied with the way he has led Nigeria steadily on the path to greatness.
“They are also not happy that it was not as usual as was possible in previous administrations. They also tried in vain to eliminate the president because he is a man of truth. But we thank God for his intervention in preserving the life of President Muhammadu Buhari.
