Dr. Dre’s wife Nicole Young is fighting for a share of Dre’s billion dollar fortune despite signing a prenuptial agreement.
It will be recalled that a few months ago, Nicole filed for divorce from the rapper and businessman a few months after their 24 wedding anniversary. The two tied the knot in May 1996 and recently celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary. Nicole filed the documents citing the usual irreconcilable differences as the reason for her split from the 55-year-old hip-hop mogul. The estranged couple share two grown children, son Truice and daughter Truly.
Nicole is reportedly not going to divorce without fighting for a share of the rapper’s $ 1 billion fortune, despite signing a prenuptial agreement with the hip-hop mogul. In the documents filed, she asked for spousal support, a share of her estate, and a partition of her wealth, as they did not sign any prenup.
Dr Dre, days later, responded to Nicole’s filings with his own legal documents showing that he and Nicole had signed a marriage contract before getting married. Now, a new report from TMZ says Nicole Young is challenging their collaboration contract with Dre’s billion dollars at stake. According to TMZ, Nicole claims she was pressured and unwillingly forced to sign the documents in 1996. and Dre tore up parts of the documents after being ashamed of making him sign the documents.
The report reads; ““Nicole says Dre is now worth $ 1 billion, and before they married,” I was extremely reluctant, resilient and scared to sign the deal and felt cornered. Given André’s extraordinary pressure and intimidation, I had no choice but to hire a lawyer (of course, with the help of André’s professional team) and I Reluctantly signed the agreement very shortly before our wedding. “
She then says 2 years after the wedding, “Andre admitted to me that he was ashamed that he pressured me to sign a prenuptial agreement and he tore up several copies of the agreement in front of me. From the day he tore up the agreements, we both understood that there was no prenuptial agreement, and that it was null and void.. ”
However, sources linked to Dre say he never expressed shame about the deal and never tore it up or said it was not valid. It was also reported that Nicole had her own lawyer and had a clear choice whether or not to sign.
“Our sources say that Dre made it clear… He’ll pay for spousal support and all of his expenses, but it’s clear Nicole wants a big slice of the pie, claiming he amassed most of his fortune during the marriage. Nicole asks the judge to separate the divorce from the issue of prenup, but it seems that a fight is brewing ”
